Camila de Macedo Braga, PhD

camilaPhD in Political Science by the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, where she remains as a post-doctoral fellow and worked as a collaborative professor at the Institute of International Relations (IRI-USP). She is the co-founder and research coordinator for the Center for Conflict and Peace Studies (CCP), integrated to the International Relations Research Center (NUPRI) at USP. Camila has also been a Global Fellow of the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies (CHRHS) at Brown University, Providence, since 2016; and a Senior Fellow for the Center for Advanced Latin American Studies (CALAS) at the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) since 2019. She currently researchers on the following topics: peace and conflict theory, complex emergencies, social resilience, and security governance in border areas. Regions of interest: Latin America, East Africa (Sudan), East Asia (Timor Leste).
