Thiago Babo, PhD

PhD in Political Science by the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, where he is currently conducting postdoctoral research. Researcher at the International Relations Research Center (NUPRI-USP) and coordinator at the Center for Conflict and Peace Studies (CCP-USP) and at the Center ‘Oliveiros S. Ferreira’ for Research on Sociology of International Relations (GOF-USP). Associate Professor at the Catholic University of Santos. He currently researchers on the following topics: sociology of conflict and organized violence, theories of war and peace, civil war, modern state formation, studies on conflict and security and sociology of international relations. Has research interests in the following countries and regions: Russia and East Europe, Nordic countries, Latin America and Central Europe.
